Introduction to Robotics (Free Workshop)

NIRT has launched a free robotics workshop for different ages ranging from 8 to 17 years old on February 2019. The workshop main goal was to spread robotics knowledge among young individuals along with increasing people’s awareness in this field.

Firstly, NIRT team members introduced the fundamentals of robot science to students, gearing systems, and general mechanical design. Secondly, We explained how to design small modules through Lego parts to enable them to practice what they have just learned later on. Finally, We set up a small competition between participants, where we divided them into small teams so that each team can design and build their own robot then we held a SUMO competition between teams.

NIRT was thrilled to see the excitement in the faces of these children. It is our communal duty to discover young potentials, raise awareness, and spread knowledge among our community in STEM and Robotics streams.
