Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Session in German Jordanian University
NIRT has collaborated with IISE and conducted a 3D printing workshop for GJU students. The workshop focused on presenting one of the most technological industries which is “Additive Manufacturing”. Students were introduced to a varied range of 3D printing techniques. NIRT also made a comparative explanation for the differences of 3D printing types and techniques.
The workshop explained the application of 3D printing through CAD and CAM. Firstly, showing students how to conduct a 3D printing design through computer aided design programs, such as solid works. Secondly, showing them the procedure of using computer aided manufacturing programs, its uses and methods. Finally, we presented a practical example in front of the students. It was mainly how to design a key chain through solid works program, and then we printed the key chain through our 3D printer.
